Our new voice with heart—and one that truly understands lipedema:
Sophie is joining the Dr. Giera team with immediate effect!

Born in Oberndorf and raised in Anif and Grödig, Sophie has deep roots in Salzburg. She began her creative journey in 2009 when she graduated from the fashion school in Hallein—an environment where aesthetics, a sense of form, and humanity play a major role.

But Sophie wanted more: she wanted to accompany, support, and listen to people. In 2013, she completed her apprenticeship as an office clerk and gained valuable experience in customer service over many years—in a wide variety of industries and through countless encounters, where she demonstrated her empathetic nature.

Sophie herself is affected by lipedema. She knows how the diagnosis feels, what concerns people have before surgery, and how much courage it takes to go your own way. It is precisely this understanding that makes her a special contact person for our patients.

With her determination, warmth, and positive energy, Sophie will support many women on their journey—and we are incredibly excited to have her with us!
