Lipedema is a sensitive and emotional topic, very personal and individual. Therefore, we offer different Consulting hours to best meet your needs.

1. the initial diagnostic consultation

What happens in the initial diagnostic consultation?

We take 60 minutes for each other. After a detailed anamnesis and a physical examination, the diagnosis of lipedema is usually made. Why? Because affected women are usually right in their feeling that something is wrong!

We discuss together how to proceed: which therapy options are available and which path is currently the most suitable for you. If you live in Austria, you will immediately receive a prescription for flat-knit compression pants. If you come from Germany or Switzerland, we will be happy to support your family doctor with a detailed letter.

If necessary, an ultrasound of the leg veins is performed, e.g. if there are visible varicose veins. An ultrasound is NOT required to confirm the diagnosis of lipedema.

The initial diagnostic consultation is ALWAYS a SINGLE MINUTE, an accompanying person is welcome.

2. the counseling to the operation - group counseling

What happens in group counseling?

In the sense of a "get together", up to five patients meet who have been diagnosed with lipedema and would like to find out more about liposuction. This often results in a very dynamic and lively exchange, which serves to provide mutual support and motivation. Sometimes even friendships are formed.

We will talk together for a good hour about all the important topics concerning the operation (accompanying conservative therapy, waterjet-assisted liposuction, the course of an operation day, incapacity to work, health insurance, risks and complications as well as myths and facts about lipedema).

This is followed by a personal one-on-one consultation with physical examination and determination of the individual surgical procedure. Pictures are taken, measurements are taken and an expert opinion is dictated. You have to bring time, but it will be worth it!

Upon request, a liposuction consultation can also take place as a one-on-one consultation.

3. the correction consultation

For whom was the corrective consultation created?

For all lipedema patients who have already undergone surgery and are not visually or functionally satisfied with the result. I will give you a well-founded assessment on this. Is a new operation indicated because the procedure was not radical enough? Can the optical result still be improved? Or are your wishes perhaps not feasible due to the characteristics of the connective tissue and the initial findings? In this case, too, you will receive my honest assessment!

The correction consultation is always a one-on-one appointment!

4. Aesthetics Consultation

Consultation on the subject of aesthetic liposuction on the abdomen, back, flanks, etc.

5. Video consultation for international patients

Sitting on a plane for several hours to get medical treatment in Austria is a big adventure! That is why we have our video consultation for our international patients. This gives you the opportunity for us to get to know each other before your operation in Austria and to clarify all important matters. Of course, the assessment of the findings and the tissue (congested - not congested) via distance is limited, but still well possible.

Please plan your stay in Austria so that we can meet in person the day before your surgery, measure, photograph and educate you.

Of course, international patients will receive an English-language report after the video consultation!
